Hello my name is Steve Rahn, and I am the Owner and Outfitter. Back in 1994 I started the “Badly Scattered Buffalo Company” and it grew to become one of Canada’s premier Bison outfitters for all your Trophy Bison Hunts, both Ranch and "Wild". Then in 2000 I started "Silvertine Wildlife Co." to expand into Elk and Deer preserve Hunts. I have never lost my passion for the majestic Bison, and to this day my Bison hunts remain some of my favorite hunts to conduct. I can offer Trophy Bull Bison hunts (Plains and Woods), and can refer clients to outfitters that I know that provide Wild Bison Hunts, we also can do in limited amounts and oversee the harvest of prime meat animals. My speciality is our trophy ranch bull hunts. These hunts draw hunters from around the world, because each year my customers will harvest not only some of the largest Bull Bison in the country, but probably the biggest. For 17 years now I have been managing “The Badly Scattered Buffalo Company” and am an exclusive agent for many large scale ranches in northern Alberta and Saskatchewan. I have been doing it so long that I have access to some of the largest Bison holdings in Canada, and have thousands of animals to offer my clients, so I can ensure you get the best value and quality for your money.  

These are fantastic hunts to bring youth on, or for two hunting buddies! There is no limit and all hunts and harvests are guaranteed successful, or your money back in full. We offer you two types of hunts. 1. On our own exclusive 780 acre "Nayote Preserve" were we bring in old massive bulls from all over Canada for our hunters or 2. we take you to one of the large ranches were many of these old trophy bulls can not be moved from. All of these ranches we hunt on are working ranches managed for the production of Bison. 

All of our ranches have adopted the philosophy that Bison need wide open space, and have large open pastures with timber, creeks, hills and gullies where we do our hunts, giving the hunter the feeling they went back in time, the sight of a vast parcel of land with Bison roaming about is without parallel.  It's the Old West and New West rolled into one, and best; you can participate in both by harvesting nature's finest protein on the hoof.  You'll fill your freezer with delicious, grass-fed, low-fat meat, and the robes and skulls provide lasting memories of the experience.
